Research has indicated that the use of fitness weights can give those who use them a higher level of strength and balance, besides weight loss and increase in muscle mass. In January 2012, researcher Keith Spennewyn, chair of the National Institutes of Health Research, investigates the differences in the values of resistance and balance between people using fitness weights and the category of those who do not use such sporting articles.
The results of the study showed that people who had exercises with fitness weights had a 58% increase in physical exercise strain and 196% in balance, compared to those who did not use weight gain.
